Jewels,
coins, rings, and other trinkets are used as currency in the Kingdoms of
Telgard. For the most part, Korresh currency is accepted as the universal
coin in the trade industry, but it has its limits.
KORRESH
Throughout
Korresh the currency is Gold Crowns, Silver Marks, and Copper Pence. They
conform to the previously determined ratios of 1 gold= 20 silver= 100 copper.
There
are a few abberancies, however. The first Baron of Kel got a bit full of
himself and minted a solid gold piece known as the Kel Crown (or Khirjan,
after the Baron).
TAHNN
The
Ss'tiss have three different sorts of coins. Aside of using these they
do however also stick to using gems as a sort of payment.
1
Chrithzesh (Gold) = 8 Thrincz (Silver) = 96 Lyssth (Copper)
Gold:
"Falcon Eye" => Chrithzesh (its color resembles the eye-color of a certain
kind of falcon that lives in the mountains)
Silver:
"Silver" => Thrincz
Copper:
"Fire" => Lyssth (its color very much resembles that of the dancing flames
of fire)

Unlike
the Dwarves, they are not so uptight about the worth of each coin--in the
end, everythign will work out. Each Delfaen coin is actually a ring, made
of pure metals.

LIRYNN
Contrary
to popular human slang, the "wood chips" that form the currency of Lirynn
are not really chips at all. Instead, the coins are Lifesonged out
of nuts specifically raised for the purpose. The elven name for these
coins is arin, from the type of nuts used.
1 Ter'ari
= 10 Si'ari = 100 Ke'ari
MIRG
Except
for the Trelk, which is explained on the detail page, Mirg has no national
currency, whatsoever. (That is unless you consider Shash to be currency,
which more than a few people actually do.)
