The magic of Force is a wonder to behold, but not so subtle as the magics of mentalism. It is the control of physical forces; of gravity, of magnetism, of light, kinetic force, and eventually space itself.

Force Scars are spectacular...blue skin, constantly attracting metal objects, or always hovering a foot or so above the ground.

Force focuses are often lodestones, or prisms; other focuses are ones that represent that which they are trying to control (such as a miniature knife to control the kinetic force in an opponent's sword swing).

The more powerful a force is, the more difficult it is to control; a thrown pebble is easier to control than a falling tree, and the gravity of a person easier to control than the gravity of a house.

LEVELS OF ADVANCEMENT:

None: A sorceror has not been awakened has no inkling of his magic whatsoever, and will not until he is awakened. After that, he begins immediately at Apprentice-level, with the ability to perceive forces.

Apprentice: the mage can percieve normally imperceivable forces such as magnetism and gravity, and sense spacial disturbances (such as detecting invisibility.)

Journeyman: The mage can begin to manipulate forces in a minor fashion; this includes manipulating light and sound to form illusions and changing the direction of forces. However, powerful forces are beyond the journeyman; he can cause a thrown pebble to veer aside but couldn't do the same for a very heavy object such as a falling tree.

Mage: The mage can manipulate forces in a stronger manner; he can cause a sword or tree to veer aside instead of striking, and can create the complete illusion of invisibility. He also begins to understand the relation between force and space, and can start teleporting small objects to and from himself.

Adept: The mage can manipulate forces most cannot even dream of; he can create force where there was none before and can teleport both himself and others to any place he knows or can find. He can now fly if he wishes and the illusions he can cast are of extreme size and complexity.

LOST ABILITIES: It is rumoured that in times of old, a mage could change one force into another, such as turning kinetic force into light, or create gates to different planes.
