MISHARR IN GENERAL:

Physical description: Misharr are cat-like humanoids, ranging from from five to five and a half feet or from four to four and a half feet, depending on the variation. Forest Misharr are cougar-like or panther-like in appearance. The somewhat shorter Desert Misharr have the markings an appearance of a desert cat or an ocelot. All misharr have medium-to-long tails, retractable talons, and cat-like feet. Their heads are very catlike save an enlarged cranium.

Misharr are a quiet, graceful people. They are very alert and rarely miss much...this is aided by thier racial skill, The Sensing. They tend to wear very little clothing, as gloves and boots interfere with their claws and their fur serves what protection against the elements they need.

MISHARR PCs:

Misharr PCs are limited to a strength of 3 to reflect their less-strong nature. They start off with a free skill level in Stealth, and in addition have access to the racial skill The Sensing. Misharr speech is littered with hisses and rolled r's, and even those advanced in another's tongue find it difficult to speak without an accent. Finally, misharr are somewhat vulnerable to mentalist talents due to a mystical connection they all have with each other called the Great Union...see the Culture section for more details.

For more information about the Misharr racial skill, The Sensing, please see the Skills page.

MISHARR AND THE OTHER RACES:

Misharr generally avoid most other races; they are a private folk and like to keep to themselves. Their history causes some of the more rabid members of the other races to wish them dead, and misharr are not inclined to meet this. Still, they get along fairly well with the ss'tiss, whom they view as one of the parents of thier race, and maintain limited trade relations with humans. Misharr share a great deal in common with the minotaurs, as a 'race without a home.' Travelling misharr will often team up with willing minotaurs for protection and mutual aid.
